PSAT/NMSQT and Utah Scholars
The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered October 30, 2019 for registered students. Students taking the test should meet promptly at 7:45am on the day of the test in the Ballroom (C402) with two No.2 pencils, a school or government-issued ID, an approved calculator, and plan on being there until about 11:45am. PSAT Student Guides should be picked up at the counseling center as soon as possible.
Utah Scholars was created to help students in high school take the right classes to get to college, keep their grades up, and help students be more prepared to qualify for scholarships. To receive the StepUp Utah Scholars recognition certificates and medallion you need to have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and complete 20 Next Steps from the grade-by-grade checklists before you graduate from high school. While you can complete these steps at any time, it's best to do several each year so you stay focused and on track. Don't forget to keep track of which Next Steps you complete! Paying for College
Alisa Kearl is East's Scholarship Advisor. Make an appointment today!
Students, if you have received any scholarship offers, even if you choose to not accept them, please report them to Alisa Kearl, Scholarship Advisor in the Counseling Center. We need to keep an accurate report of all scholarships and awards for each year. This report goes to the district to show what an awesome school we are and how brilliant our student body is. This includes all athletic, leadership, service, diversity, academic, private, and college scholarships. Your effort is much appreciated as self-reporting is often our only means of discovery.
2019 Scholarship Awards
Congratulations to all of our Seniors who received scholarship offers!
Letters of Recommendation
Students who need a letter of recommendation from their counselor must submit their request in person (do not drop off or email request) at least two working weeks prior to the deadline.
