Welcome back letter from East Counseling Center 

Hello East Students and Parents/Guardians, 
 
We hope you are enjoying summer, and we look forward to welcoming you back in a few weeks.  We know that you are excited about seeing your schedules which will be released on PowerSchool on Monday, August 4th.    

Counselors will meet only with new students or students who have a hole in their schedule on the following dates:  

August 6th: 9:00 am-2:00 pm 

August 7th: 9:00 am-2:00 pm 

August 11th: 1:00 pm-5:00 pm 

 

If you are neither a new student or a student with holes in their schedule, DO NOT SEE US ON THESE DATES. Instead, please use the link provided below to request a schedule change. 

 

Counselors have worked diligently to make sure schedules are complete and accurately reflect the courses you chose and courses you need for graduation. Please be aware that we are not switching teachers or rearranging class periods.  For the most part, class periods are full and switching around schedules could be difficult, so please request a class change only if necessary. 

Below are reasons why you may need to request a schedule change: 

• Adding an online class or a class that is necessary for college/occupational interests 

• Adding a class you auditioned or tried out for 

• Adding a Teacher’s Assistant (TA) 

• When Placed in the wrong level of a class. Example: Switching French 2 for French 1

Class changes can only be requested from August 4th-15th until 3:30: pm Please submit only one request and do not email your counselor as this will delay the process.  

Counselors will email or call you to let you know if a class change was made and we advise you to check PowerSchool August 18th for the most up to date schedule.  
Enjoy the remainder of your summer and we’ll see you on the first day of school, August 19th, for an exciting year.
