CTE prepares students for the future by developing academic and technical skills for high demand careers. It provides career exploration and work-based learning opportunities and creates pathways leading to future education and training and to employment.
At East High School, every student can explore various careers while in school as part of the CTE Pathways program. CTE has 32 different career pathways that have been developed over many years to align and match ongoing with industry needs both in Utah, the Wastchfront and across the nation.
The 32 pathways are divided into the following 14 career clusters: Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Agriculture, Arts, Entertainment & Design, Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Construction, Digital Technology, Education, Energy & Natural Resources, Financial Services, Healthcare & Human Services, Hospitality, Events & Tourism, Marketing, Public Service & Safety, Supply Chain & Transportation.
