Career and Technical Education (CTE)

 

 

CTE prepares students for the future by developing academic and technical skills for high demand careers. It provides career exploration and work-based learning opportunities and creates pathways leading to future education and training or employment. 

At East High School, every student can explore various careers while in school at part the the CTE Pathways program. CTE has over 33 different career pathways that have been developed over many years to align and match ongoing with industry needs both in Utah and across the nation. 

The 33 pathways are divided into the following career clusters: Automotive-Transportation, Construction-Manufacturing, Engineering, Business-Marketing, Cosmetology, Family and Consumer Sciences- Culinary Arts- Early Childhood,  Teaching, Art and Entertainment- Interior Design, Visual Art-Graphic/Commercial, Photography, Television-Video, Information Technology, Health Sciences, and Protective Services.
